Whiskey Your the Devil

Well, the Pogues countdown is almost over, just one more day of waiting. So excited, and I just couldn't hide it. So there. No mp3, I'm tired and don't feel like it..wahhh! Well..on second thought The Broad Majestic Shannon
Bottle on the nightstand, I count disasters on my free hand now.

So not that any one reads this thing, but I have a big interest in soul music. I love all the motown favorites but there's alot of unheard artists from the 60's that are absolutely amazing. James Carr sang about heartbreak and sadness with an eerie conviction. No pop gloss on his songs, there enough to make you weep. Carr also had a lot of twangy "country" type guitar on his tracks which seperated him from many other soul singers of the period. So yeah it's late on a friday, I'm tired...I stayed in and having been listening to old soul records and drinking tea. The suckers out on the town don't know what there missing. Here's to you Mr. Carr.
